~ From the Shadows ~
…and in the shadows, walk our souls. Wandering through life, we search for the light. But the darkness promises us with illusions…its greatness that lies within. Somewhere it all resides, but eludes us with skill…power shows us a path, and its promise of immortality drives us on. However, the light holds none of these, only origin, essence, spirit. Always with us, but yet eluding us, just the same. Inconceivable, it appears, yet simple…difficult, yet elementary…duality in its beauty, or so it seems. Few are they who find balance. Sacrificing all for none…some say ’tis a foolish choice indeed. Logic and reason teach us our ways, but wisdom’s contradiction resides in our conscience, never leaving our hearts. Mysterious…appears the light, forever remaining but a touch away, simply out of sight. But if only to open our eyes for a moment…to behold the rainbow in our hands.
